This new booklet, produced by Prostate Cancer Canada Network, offers current, easy-to-understand information on prostate cancer, with two sections particularly directed towards newly diagnosed patients. One on grading and staging explains how the Gleason score works and how far a man’s cancer has advanced. Another describes how mathematical prediction tools (such as Partin Tables and nomograms) help physicians calculate more precisely the pathological stage of a cancer in order to determine the best treatment options.
Just Diagnosed - A guide for men and loved ones
